'The Nation' reviews Postwar Europe
I read Tony Judt's book, and then found this review of it in 'The Nation': http://www.thenation.com/doc/20060109/maier
I believe the rightist reviews were pretty pleased with the book as well. It took a lot of research and writing. And Judt takes a moral stand on many things. I did have some issues with him, but that's perfectly normal for a scholar.
I recommend the book, all one hundred trillion pages of it.
I know a lot of the history, but this guy really puts it all together.
