What Are The Differnces Between A 01 Gs And A 01 Gsr(i Know The Horse Power/ecu/redline/rims/gearing/)but I Want Other Peoples Opinion About The Difference.........thanks Guy (reason Is My Friend Has A 96 Gsr Clover Green And My Other Friend Has A 98 Gs With A Intake Header And Exhaust And Some Other Little Things, And Always Takes The Gsr By At Least 1/2 A Car.......the Gsr Has Only A Short Ram And Universal Exhaust......

once vtec kicks in the GS doesn't stand a chance, the higher torque rating can keep the GS up with the GSR for a little while, but i dont see this as something realistic....

And aside from that, the driver of the GSR is either launching at the wrong rpm or short-shifting.
I hate bench racing, but the GSR should be running to 60 in about 7.5 sec, with the GS trailing by about a second.
And lastly, take it to the track.

Well I Have No Reason To Make This Up....what Would I Get Out Of It....i Know That A Stock Gs Cant Compete With A Stock Gsr Anyday... But I Do Know What I Saw.....also Is There Any Difference That I Dont Know About Between The Gs And The Gsr

The GS is essentially an upmarket variant of the LS, with the B18B1 producing 142hp.
In '97, the GS had the same size anti-roll bars as the GSR, I suspect that was the case in '01, but I don't know for sure.
I doubt anyone is questioning what you saw.
All I was saying is that the GSR was probably not performing at its full potential.
A timeslip -to compare 60' speeds and times- would be invaluable; yet another reason to race legally.
