ok im about to go with amsoil on my motor..my motor has about 111,000 miles..bought my car with 105K on it and was using M1..now would like to try amsoil but, they have quite a few dont know what to use...so help me out!!..its a 95 b18c1. dont redline often, just hit vtec a few times to get a kick out of it..

10w-40 high performance

10w-30 ATM turbo formulated

5w-30 high performance

5w-30 XL

10w-40 XL

10w-30 XL

 

actually i am a amsoil dealer and do sell quite a bit of every weight and version u just listed...the first three are amsoils first line i guess you could say. they are the original formulas just updated time to time. the xl weigts are basically an extended life for longer oil change formulas either would work fine for you but personally i would stick with the say 5-30 high performance one and change the oil every 5000-6000 miles. i personally use that one and it is a very good oil. quality wise that one is the better of the two

 

you think it will be ok to run 5w30 on a high milage car like 111K miles...

 

shit oe recommends 5-30 and thats what i would stick with you could run 10-30 but ive been running 5-30 no problem on my 94 gsr and before my super build up i was hitting 188000 miles on her.

 

on the 10w-30..i dont have to have turbo to use that oil right...confuse since it says turbo formulated stuff..haha
