This winter, I decided to get an acutal set of snow tires, so I had to find some steelies to put them on. I found an old set of 14's for $10. They looked horrible, but they weren't bent, so I got them. I sanded the rust spots, sand blasted them, had them powder coated gloss black, put on some pinstripes (yes, I know it isn't perfect, but when it is on the car, it isn't that big of a deal), modified some centercaps from my mesh wheels, and here are the results. What do you guys think? I am guessing it is going to be a love it or hate it kind of thing, but I like it - it is not to flashy, but a bit different than a "typical" black steelie. The only problem that I had is that the caps won't stay on because the steelies mount tighter and force the cap to keep popping off. Ohh well..........

Creative, but they are still steelies. I don't think it is possible for steelies to look good.

 

When the two pinstripe colors mix, it looks purple, You should have left them black, good effort though.

 

They still look like steelies after some salt washing :chuckles:
