if i got a b18b engine and put it in and drove it for a while, would i be able to switch a vtec head on with not much problems? i would have to change rods and shit but would that be all? would it be a hard process? or should i just wait and collect money and put the vtec head on before i put the engine in?

 

You can swap the motor in and then add the head later. You should also replace the rod bolts (with arp's) and I believe the mains..It will just be harder to do that stuff working around everything in the engine bay....Just working on your back and crawling around instead of working with the motor on an engine stand.
