what do you think about my del sol
Got the sol fixed finally
ok here it is,
the car cost 2400 bucks had the wrong engine in it, (was stock d16 vtec had d15 when i got it)
spent couple bucks on minor stuff
problems when bought car
#1 no front left corner light 20.00 bucks on ebay
#2 no front bumper support 67.00 bucks new oem parts
#3 right left tail light screws were stripped out of plastic 5.99 epoxy
#4 no stereo or speakers 250.00 sony xplod
#5 no pasenger interior door handle and broken drivers side 66.00 ebay
#6 middle vent missing 15.00 ebay
#7 fried ecu 79.99 friend
#8 zc vtec engine,clutch, waterpump, timing belt, motor mount, right axle 1056.00 including labor for engine swap
power windows didnt work had to pube up channel and clean contacts, driver interior door lock was missing the bar to actually lock the car from inside used 1 of the wifes chromed coat hangers and pre fabed a new bar, bolted front bumper on now ( was 2 bolts and alot of zip ties) .
these are only 6 more things to do to the car to be where i want it,
#1 need factory steel front fenters( has crappy fiberglass)
#2 needs cat back exhaust system ( old one leaks bad)
#3 needs paint, i want black pearl
#4 needs springs, has crappy coilovers
#5 needs factory fog lights
#6 needs edlebrock cali smog legal turbo set up

so for about way under 4000 bucks i have a great running car

I bought it for $3250. Was a Del Sol S converted to a b16. Still power everything, etc....came with white leathers seats (i think from an accord), then i sold those and bought real del seats (man, feel sooo much better) You really have to search long long long time to find good deals, or just come upon them. It ain't easy. GOOD LUCK ALL
