Default civic P06 chip

ive got a 1994 EG civic SOHC NON-Vtec 1.5Lsi
i have seen an ecu chip which says that it increases torque and bhp. i know that this stock engine is not powerfull bu was wondering if u would notice the gain if i installed this chip. also will it effect the fuel milage. thanks

Nope these chips are garbage they either make your engine run really rich or really lean. They either starve it or flood it. It legitimately does nothing performance wise.

The only reason you should ever moddify your ECU is if you have a good reason to. Just because you want more horsepower is not a good reason. If you engine is stock, it will make it run like crap.

I'd stay away from the "chips" all together and use something like crome that can be adjusted and tuned.

i had this same chip when i had my 1.5. i didn't see a change either way, good or bad, couldn't even tell it was there. i still have it lieing around if you want it pm me.
