Default Car boggin down

Alright I'm having some pretty weird things happening to my car lately. I start off two weeks ago doing a simple tune up (fuel filter, plugs, rotor button, and distrib. cap), and then followed up with a oil change. Somehow during the tune up my distributor got fried and i had replace it. I just went on a trip 240 miles away and came back yesterday. Halfway home the car started bogging down, like i had the a/c on but worse. Last night it got so bad that whenever I came to a full stop and tried to go again I couldn't. I would press the gas and go nowhere and after a few times of hitting the gas the car would die. When idling the rpms jump from 500-1200, never constant. Any suggestions?
