Default right or left hand thread

I have a 93 Civic and am trying to put a new water pump on. I can't get the crank bolt out. is it a right hand or left hand thread?

I don't know what the term applies to so, left is loose and right is tight. I got lucky and only needed my 1/2" 18"long bar. Last time I had to stand on a longer extension.

Oil your impact wrench. It will make more torque. If it's a crappy no-name 3/8" drive, you may have trouble with it. Keep honking on it and it will give, but don't forget to let your compressor catch up. A 1/2" impact has always worked fine for me.
