Default H E L P !!!!!! Fuel pump problem i guess

Hey guys!, I have a 92 EG 4 door sedan civic (153k miles). The car is just simply driving me nuts!
The car doesn't want to start sometimes. More often lately. There is a noise coming from the fuel pump assembly (not the hissing noise). It sounds like those portable air compressors for tires (like "trrrrrrr" or something like that. I can't really tell if it is a fuel pump or a ECU probem. It is reallly , really weird!.

Here is what i've changed so far.

New OEM Main Relay
New OEM Ignition Coil
New OEM Rotor
New OEM Ignition sensor (NEC) (the one inside the distributor) looks like a module.
New OEM Distributor Cap.

Battery, Alternator, Starter, and Ground wires are perfectly. No Check Engine lighted on. NO codes, no stored codes either.

I also plugged and unplugged every single connection in the car, but still the S. Old S.

I need help please! I mean it. Thanks.

Well since there are two things that make a car start (Spark & Fuel), you did everything needed to make spark.
You could possibly have a bad fuel pump, or connection, hence the 153K miles. Have you changed your fuel pump lately or even at all? To me, w/ that sound that pump is making, it just sounds like its bad and needs to be replaced.

The problem is that i've never heard about someone changing a Honda Fuel Pump. This is really weird situation i guess. I am suspecting that it could also be a CU problem but........ i dun know. I have my doubts.
BDW, that only happens during the day when i have used the car for less than 20 or so.
The problem also shows in the very first attempt to start the car (after 20 min), obviously ther car won't start. Then when you release the key, there's when u will hear that 'air pumping' noise coming from the fuel pump. The noise will stay ....it could be 5 sec or 2 min...
OMG i need my car to be ok. I ususlly drive like 40 miles per day :S. Now i am being really scared of freeways.

My pump went out on me last summer. It was making an audible noise as I drove and the cars power was decreasing noticably over the last hour of the fuel pumps life. The pump had probably 375,000 miles on it. I got a used one for $30 and NOT the new one for $190.

I think that if you have wierd niose coming from your tank, I'd be just about sure the pump is bad. Too bad you spent all that money on that other stuff (half of which was testable before you replaced it anyways).

Yeah, i just bought a used one already to see what happens. It will come with the whole assembly. Hopefully this nightmare would be over.
