Default Left brake light not working

Everything else works fine, no exception. I'm still diagnosing it and meanwhile I hope I get some help. The bulb is fine; I switched them and they're working. And it can't be the fuse ....

What do you mean? It's the left one! Not the high mount, if that's what you meant. It's an 02 Civic EX.

Inner and outer ?? ***** I don't know dude ... picture me hitting the brake and the left brake light doesn't come on. There is 3 bulbs on each side, even though "haynes" manual describes 2 only "the upper bulb holder is for the brake/ tail/ rear sike marker light bulb" The manual describe the upper as the brake light also. It's a manual. maybe you guys describing an auto rear light?

First of all, get a helms.

Second, pop your trunk and lift it all the way up. Notice how there is a tailight on your trunk and then there is one on the body panel side? Do you follow?...

Well you didn't specify which model civic you have in your original post. Civics prior to your model civic have lights on both the body and the trunk (hence why the question was asked).

But now that we know what model civic you have maybe someone could probably help you. Could be a faulty bulb. Have your tried a completely new bulb? Maybe the prongs in the socket have become loose?

Okay, now both the left and the right not working. It happened while trying to fix it!! All I did was pulling both bulbs out and put them back in . I didn't even pull the right one(the previously working) from it's bulb holder. What possibly went wrong????? I had few friends with me at the time, they said could be the fact that I was not supposed to touch the bulbs by hand?? Seriously, all I did is pulling the socket (or the bulb holder) out and put it back in!!! I didn't even touch the bulb. What in the world could've possibly happened ???? I checked all the connectors and the fuses and they seem to be fine.

Any suggestions ??

BTH this is an 02 civic EX. There are two body style, one whith the brake light on both the trunk and the body. The others have the brake light (all the lights for that matter) in the body only. The latter is mine.
