Default I have a 98 civic ex w/ 99gsr swap, springs

I bought those ch3ap coilovers on ebay...I belive they broke cause my car makes the shittiest sounds whenever I take off or stop.. what kind of suspension do you recomend? I'm not looking to spend big bucks but the stock suspension was to light to hold the weight of this motor.. so When I buy a new set of whatever should I get them made for the gsr? thanks

No dude, you need to get springs or coilovers that fit your car, not the motor. What do you prefer springs or coilovers? IMO coilovers ride like shit on civics, but thats just me. How low do you want to be? What exactly is your price range? You have a few questions to answer before this continues...

I could spend up to a couple hundred... but heres the deal the civic had lowering springs in it. but when I did the engine swap they were way too low...I really dont prefer anything, the coilovers I had suck and broke and now make weird noises....so whats your best suggestion..thanks

So you did a GSR swap, but got ebay coil-overs?? What the hell man... Get coil-overs if you want to adjust the height and what not. Get springs and shocks if you just want to leave it at a certain height. Expect to spend 350-800$ either way.

Word bro.

Get some nice lowering springs from Neuspeed, H&R, or Suspension Techniques and you will be fine. All three are in a reasonable price range and offer good ride quality (not ebay shit). I have Suspension Techniques on my 95 Ex, and im dropped 2.3F and 2R. I absolutely love it. Coilovers believe me, ride like shit on a civic, unless you spend a grand on TEINS. good luck.

I knew GR2's werent that expensive, but the cheapest i ever found them for were like $240 or something like that. It doesnt really matter, because i have Tokico illuminas on the way Yea yea, i know...definitely more expensive, but well worth it.
