Default Alternator Replaced, Check engine light still on

I had my alternator replaced today, but the check engine light is still on. The guys told me that the alternator probably screwed up some electrical connections, but didn't tell me which ones.
Does anyone know what electrical problems the alternator could've caused by breaking?

Mike

NO, they said it would cost $70, is there a way I can do it for cheaper?

You can check the code yourself with a paperclip. Check the sticky at the top of the forum on how to do this.

I'm pretty sure that a bad alternator would just cause a battery light and not a check engine light. At least that's how my '92 behaves...
