Default Bumper Replacement?

I'm trying to help out a friend of mine who has a 1993 Civic EX coupe. Her rear bumper got hit a week or so ago in a parking lot. There are some scratches on the paint, but not too bad. Anyway, the bumper wont click back into place now, it just sorta hangs there.

When viewed from underneath, it looks like part of the reinforcement bar has been bent and that's why the bumper won't go back to its original place.

My question:

Can i just replace this reinforcement bar behind the rear bumper or will we have to replace everthing? I'm hoping we can just replace the bar and then put on the original bumper cover because that would avoid a trip to the paint shop.

Also, is my only chance of finding such a part for a reasonable price going to be at a salvage yard?

thanks in advance!

You could look on ebay but I doubt that the part you are looking for comes up much if ever. You may be able to bend it back with hammer or something. I bent back all that stuff 10 years ago on my CRX.

I would take the bumper off, and inspect the damage behind it further.
