the ticking is either the injectors or the valves. the squeeking noise is probably a dirty belt.

Sounds like valve tapping. But alot worse.

did you check your oil? could be lifters right. does this happen when its cold or all the time?

i think it happens most of the time recently. a guy from midas said it could be the alternator. *sigh*
why it could be the oil btw?

Slushy oil, old oil, not enough oil. It basically lubes everything. If the oil isn't lubing right it's metal against metal so it can make the ticking noise. I'd save valve tap though although it's a lot louder than I've heard.

I agree, sounds like alternator. My nissan Pulsar had a similar sounds before the alt went out.
