Default Keyless Entry Problems

THe keyless entry remote for my 1999 Acura EL 1.6 seems to work sometimes and other times does not work at all. I noticed that the light does light up on both remotes when I press the buttons, and just to be safe I replaced the batteries on both remotes. The puzzling aspect of this is it does work but only for 50% of the time, I usually have to press the button like a hundred times before it acually works.

WHat could the problem be?

I have the exact same problem. I think it's the remotes getting old and have become "out of tune" with the correct frequency for transmitting.

If someone has a solution, I'd love to hear it.

I was also thinking it might have something to do with the reciever in the car, it might have some kind of loose connection.
