Default B20 Civic HB?

I've been lookin for a new car, as my Accord will likely be sold soon. I stumbled upon a B20-swapped Civic HB (92)...

What do you think?

it is clean, be careful about the swap. have somebody look at it who really knows what they are doing. bad swap = headache. check motor mounts and everything. Other then that, pretty clean eg !!! good luck

But a B20? I always hear about B16's and B18's... never B20's... then again, I don't come in here a ton, as I have an Accord... is a B20 a worthy engine?

And what is out there in the way of mods for B20's? Is it better for boost or all-motor? I know nothing about B20's.

Also, is a B20 any better, equal, or worst than a B16 or B18?

if it is really truly built, BOOST THE F*** OUT OF IT. Any b series will fit in a eg. Granted, not many are b20's but there are a handful. Like i said, boost it and don't look back.

Alright, thanks. I'm tryin to do some search, but have yet to come up w/ very much info. Could you help me out? I have about $8,000 to spend, and that car costs $6,000. With roughly $2,000 to spend on upgrades, what'd you suggest? That is, as you said, assuming it truly is fully built.

EDIT: I was doing searches on H-T, I just did search here and came across w/ alot more info.

i difinately would have that looked at before buying it... especially cuz its CR-vtec... if it wasnt built right as mentioned before, you will ahve headaches... hopefully the person that built the engine use ARP Rob bolts, head studs, etc... so yeah it atleast has some reliability....

other that that the usual check for any damages on the body, if everything works, etc... it seems like a good buy... still try to get it for a lower price though.... lol

as for modding it, depends on what u want...striaght line or turns... lol i wouldnt boost that if ur planning on taking turns IMO... but if ur going for a straight drag race setup well then i would say boost it. WideBodyEK on here has a boosted fully built Cr-vtec setup ask him about that.... but yeah seems like a good buy but for sure check up on it... good luck

the b20 motor is expensive to build compared to the b16a/b18c. I had one in my old eg and it was cool until i blew it 2 times.
