Default Someone hit my teg today...

Someone hit my teg today while I was parked at school... and left. The damage is pretty bad, don't know if I'm going to be able to fix it or not. Noticed it when I went to work... passenger side, about 8 inches back from the front wheel well, all the way back to and a bit on the back tire. Its dented/scratched and the trim is gone/ripped off. It really makes me mad that people do that... and just leave. I can't make a claim on my insurance either, as my deductable is way too high. Hopefully me and my buddy can do some body work, still gonna need some paintwork though even if we can I'll try to get some pics of the damage.

:happysad: My sympathies. Some people are just titanic assholes.
But the sad truth is you probably will not find the guilty party.

My DC4 was hit on the first day of class in February this year.
I was parked nose-in, the offending driver turned in too late and nailed the rear bumper, driver's side rear wheel and rear quarter panel.

I had to pay a $500 deductible, but Mercury Insurance covered nearly $2800 worth of body and paint work to repair the car, plus the rental car. My rates did not increase at all.

If you have a clean record and haven't made a claim in the last two years or longer, consider filing an uninsured motorist claim. You should be able to get the car repaired without penalty. :happysad:

They don't, not in the parking lot, I have checked... and my insurance deductible is high, so its not even worth claiming on insurance...

I had that happen once. I placed a sign on my car that said. "I know who hit my car and I am going to hurt you." About a week later I was approached and told that if they had a pen and paper at the time they hit me they would have left their information. I said whatever, and took the information and got my car fixed. It was pretty fucking cool, I did not think it would work, but the little bookworm must have got scared and fessed up. Try it, chances are whoever hit you does not have any balls, otherwise they would do what is right and ethical.
