Default First clutch/flywheel install - PICS OF DAMAGE - WHAT HAPPENN??

This was my first install for a new Spec clutch/pressure plate and ACT flywheel into a jdm d15B vtec. And after a couple miles of driving I noticed a ticking sound.
I would only here this sound when the clutch was fully depressed. WTF happens when the clutch is pushed in to make this noise and cause this damage in the pics???

You can see 2 of the 3 little clips broke.

I'd put money on it being a crappy clutch/PP. My roommate had a spring shoot out of a sprung hub ebay special clutch disc a week after he installed it.

The only reason I went with a spec clutch, was because so many people were using it on turbod16.com. With great success! I noticed that the "ticking" sound can only be heard when the clutch was fully depressed. If I push the clutch pedal about hlaf way. I can change gears and not hear the noise. I'm calling the company up today.

I didn't order the clutch from Ebay. I bought it from Ultrarev.com.

For that price, it should be pretty high quality. There is no excuse as to why it did that. Do you have a warranty on it?

Well I took everything off and inspected the flywheel. The flywheel has a "hot" spot were the clutch meets the flywheel. It looks like a blemish. And I can see a spot on the clutch were the same thing happened. I've already sent everything out for replacement.

I assume everything was properly torqued to spec... right?
