Default Transmission and IAT sensor questions...

(94' tegra had been swapped from a USDM to a JDM B18B before my possession)

Ive been looking at the intake manifold, and it seems as if the location of where the IAT sensor is suppose to go is blocked out, hence forth it being a JDM B18B. The existing IntakeAirTemperature sensor looks to be dangling from the pre-existing harness.

Is the computer even utilizing the IAT sensor anymore?

The other issue here is the car is an automatic, and it does not want to take off in 1st gear all of the time. Manual shifting the trans to 1st works and it does as its told. Could the issue above be confusing the transmission as far as proper gear selection? Maybe it is in limp home mode?

Aaargh.

Yes the computer utilizes the IAT sensor. As for the tranny, it could also be an ECU problem, since the automatic ECU tells the tranny when to shift.
