teg is shaking at 30+ mph
As the title states, my teg just started doing this tonight. I noticed it really doesn't shake until about 30 or so, but it's really bad. I know I need to do a brake job because the car shakes when I am coming to a stop but the whole shaking while cruising/accelerating thing is something new. Had the wheels balanced and rotated like 3,000 miles ago so I don't think that's it. Could it just be a case of warped rotors or what?
well, what's weird is that the car was driving fine and then i got on it a little bit, and coming off the next light is when the problem started...besides, balancing, does it sound symptomatic of axles or brakes or anything else?
balanced rotors, balanced tires, good axles (bad axles could cause shaking), car alligned? (i dunno if that could cause shaking)
my car was shaking really bad when my tires werent balanced, but that was at freeway speeds (65). they r balanced now but there still is some shaking (need rotors) but 4 u, since its only 30mph, id look into the axles and everything in there.

I can tell you right now that an inboard CV joint went out. Now, you just need to figure out which side. Jack it up, start it, and put it in gear and you will see which joint is moving improperly. I had a nasty shake from 50 to 80 mph and it turned out to be the joint.
Uneven tire wear is definitely not the problem. I think it's either the bad rotors or bad cv axle joints. I took the car out for a drive after I ran into the shaking problem and it drove perfectly normal...strange.
