What should I do to a civic
I recently bought a 92 civic hatchback and am looking to put a new engine and am wondering what is the best bang for my buck. from what i have seen the preludes 94-96 2.3 L looks like the best but will that engine be to big for the civic? If any one else has a better idea I would appreciate it. The only other thing is should I switch transmissions or can I keep my manual from the civic.

get a jdm sohc ZC like me. and get any of the turbo's for the d16z6. You'll kill the b18's with off boost torque becaue of the compression ratio. And you can replace the engine for 400 bux if you blow it up. :-)

I like everyone else would have to vouch for B18b + turbo. Ls motors are a dime a dozen, parts are easily available at any automotive shop, and they love boost. At the cost of a GSR from Hmotorsonline, you can get an LS motor, boost it and have 200+whp.

what the hell did you mean by "You'll kill the b18s with off boost torque" I dont even understand that as english.
as for the H23...horrible choice..if you wanna go H go H22A, and at that I would love the H22 swapped 92...hell of a motor for the car, a little and I mean very little more difficult than a B swap but sessy.
