Default Fallacy about Sub Box(quick Question) in teg

Hey Guyz Im going on a trip. I was wondering if having a heavy box in the truck Really decrease your gas mileage? My box weights 60lbs, With gas prices the way they are, Will the extra weight make any different.

It won't change your gas mileage.

I doubt the fuel savings from the decreased weight will be enough to justify taking the subs out. Anyone know if/how much the draw on the alternator from the audio amps might affect the milage?

Well the amp would still be in there I assume, so the draw would be the same...but it wouldn't affect mileage without it.
