I'd stick with your bored throttle body. The ITB's need some kind of tunable EMS system...and aren't really worth it unless you have a fully built NA motor.

Yeah ITB's are hard core, but only good on a fully built NA car... Plus if i were to do ITB's i would do them on a K, seems like better air flow.. Regardless they are like 1500$...

I agree. The cost of the ITB's and the cost of the EMS needed to control them is no even worth the gain you will see on your setup. If you had a beefier setup, the gains would be more worth that cost.

and u can also turbo a car with ITBs, u just have to know how to weld so u can build a plenum for it

Uberdata doesn't have support for ITB's, but Crome does.

http://www.homemadeturbo.com/tech_projects/itb/ is a good source.

I've also seen ITB's from the 954RR used, and other bikes. Does that mean it's worth it? No...but we're looking at it all wrong. I'd rather use something specifically designed for my motor, rather than hack together some ITB's from a sport bike.

its people like you that allow companies to produce things that are way over priced. such as full race manifolds and "JDM" parts. ITBs from a bike work absolutely fine at a fraction of the price.

It's still not worth it on a basically stock motor.

u are right about that. if he did decide to pay for a high qualityITB setup ,he should really have head work done and other things to draw all the power out of them. in my opinion, i wouls rather just build a nice turbo kit. but thats just me. sorry to be an ass b4, havin a rough day
