Which size wheels for a '91?

I'm looking for a set of 16" or 17" wheels for autocross. What size will fit, and what backspacing should I look for? What is the widest without interference?

I did a quick search, and didn't come back with much.

15-16" for performance
17"+ for just looks and actually hurt the performance

id get 16s if i were u. i have a 90 ls 4dr with 205/40 R 16 and im not lowered at all and get no rubbing.

No wider than 7.5, you'll rub with 7.5, but you'll be fine.

I would recommend 16x7 42+mm, 4x100.

i have 17s on 09 ls i agree with every one elts 16s for sure

Haha yeah I have 18s on my teg... KILLS power massively. I'm probably going to go with some 16" slips and keep the 18s for shows - that's all they're good for.
