how do I get the halfshaft off of the axle!!??? HELP

Default how do I get the halfshaft off of the axle!!??? HELP

Ok, here's the story, I needed a different half shaft for my Integra so I removed the Original halft shaft and axle out of the hub and the transmission. when i set them on the ground and tried to get them apart I couldn't!!! They wouldn't even budge! So heres wher I need the help, How do I get the half shaft apart from the axle?? Please help me!! I need to be able to drive!

I separated the halfshaft from the axle while the halfshaft was already mounted...a big flathead screwdriver and a hammer.

use a hammer and just keep hitting it, it will come out.

im not scared. I ended up hooking it to the back porch with rope and hooking the other end to my friends truck. he began spinning wheels, then cracked the leg on the porch. I said this is enough! I took the axle and half shaft to autozone and got a new one axle.

you still need to get the half shaft off the axle, so you can re-use the half shaft. Or did you get a new half shaft and axle?

i got a new half shaft the one i has was for an automatic tranny. i got a
b18c half shaft. so i just left the one on the axle when i took it back to autozone.

should have tied it to a tree...
