how 'bout you give me 30k and i'll kick you in the balls instead?

j/k

twin turbos are only good for cars that came with them stock, in there stock form. this is why you will find many people replacing the twins in supras for a single snail.

and v6? i think he's thinking more about a rotary

Twin turbo setups on inline cylinder configuration engines is just for show. A single turbo setup will yield you much better results on a little 4 cylinder.

Yeah, a twin turbo isn't going to do you much on your car.

Stick with a good single turbo or supercharger.

For what it's worth, most FD owners serious about power throw the stock sequentials in the trashcan and pop on a single T04 or better.

Sequentials aren't easy to control, either.

But, most stick with the 13B-RE and convert to a single turbo.

About 1% say F-it and go for some version of the Chevy smallblock, because it's easier to build (and heavier overall, short of the modern aluminum blocks& heads.)

As for the SR20DET conversion... I can probably still count the number of people that did that in the US on two hands. It's just stupid to do in an FD body.

Default bad luck with turbo

man i have a good freind who put a turbo on his 02 si. it was a greddy 6 psi kit specifically for his car. he was running the emanage. he has about 30,000 miles. it has ran good for months. but here recently he got his oil changed and some gas station and on their old school lift he broke his down pipe. he drove home on it and pulled it to the mechanic who put the turbo in it in the first place. it sat at his shop about a month. mechanic welded it up test drove it. on the way back from the drive. it broke a rod! i dunno what caused this if anyone knows let me know cuz i dont understand.

Default Yup

as they said tin turbo ion engine , especially 4cyl is just for show. Here in thailand we have doen engine and my brother here at teh shop had done a 96 Suprs and took out the twin turbo and put in a very much larger single turbo. Everythin has a purpose. On ^cyl twin can have its advantages and disadvanteges, I did a Toyota Aristo i had, a 96 being the weight of teh car (92-97 GS300)i Used to turbos, a larger one (T65/Konimurin) up front and (T40/T4)on the rear exhaust manifold(2JZ-GTTE engine) the small one would spool up easilly and at lower RPM giving me lower RPM hp and tq and the larger kicking in as should upper in the RPM band giving max pwr and tq(the whole point was to eliminate turbo lag) but on a 4cy there is really no need for twin turbo.
