1995 Accord - Radiator Fan R/R Trivia
Hi all - long time lurker, first time poster.
Searched forums and DIY tech help, nothing answered this clearly.
Here's the million-dollar question: Is it possible to remove the radiator cooling fan assembly without removing the radiator? This is a 4-cyl, Nippondenso radiator.
I can get the top two bolts off easily, as well as the bracket which holds the AC line, and I can see the bolts at the bottom. They appear to be up against a frame member and I can't seem to get at them. Is there some special trick to getting these loose? From the pics in the service manual it looks like if I loosen them I could just pull it out, but I'd like to hear from someone who has done this. Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to HAN
I don't believe it is, as there's a shroud on the backside (engine side) of the fan that holds it in. You'd have to remove it from the front where the radiator is.

Feel around for it...I just took the fans off an 88 Camry V6 and had a hell of a time finding the lower bolts and getting them off. a small ratchet and patience should do the trick.

I'm not sure on the 4 cyl, but on the V6 you can loosen the radiator and slide the fans out while the radiator's still in it. Here's a video showing you how to do it.
