What is underneath my factory leather steering wheel cover?
I want to replace it, and I think that black will look good. My dash is a mix of black and tan, and since my shift lever is black leather, I think that a replacement with black leather might look good.
Here is the problem: The original tan leather OEM goes an inch or so into the spokes - toward the center of the steering wheel. The leather appears to tuck into the airbag.
On the factory Honda replacement black leather cover, it does not.
SO... if I cut off/remove completely the tan leather cover, what is underneath? Can I put on the black and still have a fairly factory-looking job?
Opinions?
