Default George, need your help

I noticed over at Honda-tech.com that someone said that the warranty was extended on the 2006 RSX-S for an additional 24 months or 20,000 miles. Is this true?

Why? Do I need to write HoA and complain because I JUST bought my 05 a month ago?

Also, people were saying that the FD changed in the 06 and you posted after that and didn't post anything contraditing to the sort.

What do you make of this?

Both the 2005 and 2006 are using the CTR final drive as far as I know. If they have changed for 2006 after some have already been produced, I guess that is possible, but nobody told me about it.

I don't even know about the warranty, but I can check and get back.

I found out that it is indeed true, on the Acura.com official RSX website under Specifications it lists the Powertrain warranty at 6y/70,000

That's the CTR final drive.

It was always in the USDM EP3 but wasn't put in the USDM DC5 until 2005 model year.

The final drive on the DC5R is 4.768 and everywhere else i've read that the 05+ RSX uses the ITR FD, so I take it that the CTR and ITR both have the same final drive?

Our final drive is 4.77

The "new" 06 final drive is 4.765

This leads me to believe they are both, indeed the same. Acura just made a rounding decision on their website.

I found this information from www.archive.org, just type in acura.com or whatever and look at a previously cached copy.

Edit: I used a cached copy from Nov 2004 because there were none from 05. Nov 2004 was the start of MY05
