If they do want to race it, the current ruleset allows for enough weight reduction that, since the body rigidity is already there, I doubt they will need to produce a homologation special (like the DC2 ITR) just to win a few races.
I really believe, though, that the double wishbone CL7/CL9 are meant to be the series winners for the near future.
