Default Need help!Valve adjustment '96 2.5TL-Help

Please help!

Anyone have instructions for a valve adjustment for a 96 2.5 TL?

The intake is .26 then it says + .02mmm
the ex is .30 +.02mm

What does this mean. Is the first number american then the next metric?

How do you line up the engine properly to make sure you are gapping correctly. I know you have to rotate the engine to the proper point.

Thanx
Regards
C

If you have never done this before, you should get a service manual or just pay a mechanic to do it for you. Usually, it will require a certain cylinder to be at TDC.

Here's a VERY good step-by-step guide to adjusting your valves. It's for the Vigor, but you have the same engine so it is identical. Also explains what you are doing and why. Gotta love it.

Good luck.
