Hi!

My car, '03 rsx auto trans, just passed 70k miles. It's been meticulously maintained. Starting yesterday, theres been this weird grind/vibration coming from the front left corner of my car. It only happens within the first 1.5 secs of normal acceleration. If I accel slower than normal, it doesn't happen. It's not so mucha grind it's more of a anti-lock modulation noise/feeling, sorta. A rapid "brbrbrbr."

It doesnt'y happen when I'm revving the engine in neutral. It also doesn't happen if I'm going acceling in reverse at a similar rate. What could this be? Great thanks to anyone who can help.

 

sounds like a tranny issue to me. you should take it to a dealership and have someone look at it. but be warned, your out of warranty so if it is a tranny issue its gonna be expensive. you dont have to get it fixed at the dealership but at least you'll know what the issue is.

 

Hey ppl

Just got back from my mechanic, turns out 2 of my engine mounts on the left side are broken. He pushed on the accel while holding onto the brake, and I saw the darndest thing: my entire engine was swaying back n forth!

Has anyone else's engine mounts broken yet? I drive my car pretty hard but not extreme, so I have no idea why they went out so fast. Not as nearly as hardcore as u guys with mods and time yourselves and race random ppl on the street and stuff...
