got a stage 2 obx camshaft for a 94 honda Sohc. Man I tell you this cam is so bad that I must have spent over $100.00 for a valve replacement everytime I bent a valve. I finally got frustrated took the cam into a machine shop and have them check on it for me. guess what..two of the lobe is higher then the rest of the lobe. NO wonder my 3 and 4 exhaust keep bending. what a fucken waste of time on OBX camshaft. any sugestion on what camshaft should I get?

 

One that's reputable. OBX stuff all sucks ass.

Couldn't you take it to a machine shop and have them grind down the lobe that is out of wack?

OBX stuff is ok if your looking for cheap somewhat better than stock parts and/or good at ghetto rigging...or you could pay a few bucks more and get something high quality.

 

machine shop was asking $95.00 for one lobe to grind. that's $190.00 for two and the cam itself cost me $210.00. not worthed to me. no thank you..

 

dang crzy the crane comp cam is 245 and springs another bill and a quarter. Bummer man.

 

Can you return the cam considering it's obvious that's improperly machined? That's not something that could have happened by you installing it so I'd send it back.

 

I called sportmatech performance and they won't take it back because I already installed it. they said that I might have installed it the wrong way and I didn't adjust the valve correctly. For god sake!!! if you could only see the wall that have been shave off from the lobe it's pathetic. So I took a picture off the head and emailed it to him and he had to comment. But still he wont take it back.What a F**k head. no more business with this guy from me.

 

Call OBX. Tell them that their dealer is being a douche and that you've had a machine shop check the specs, which resulted in incorrect manufacturing. I'd bitch all the way down on this one...
