d15b2 with y8 head distributor problems HELP!

i need major help with this mod. we recently replaced the head on my freinds 91 hatch with a vtec head. our main problem with the head is we had to use the d15b2 distributor so the plugs would match. now the distributor has to be advanced so far to get it to run its crazy and the mounting brackets for the dizzy dont line up at all not even one of them. what do we need to do to make this work? the injection is dpfi.
