Default which CD-R's work?

hey guys, I did a search for this topic and I really couldn't find info for a TL. I have 2001 TL and I'm having trouble getting CD-R's to work. I know it's probably the cd brand, or it's burnt to fast or whatnot. I was just posting to see if anyone has had success playing burnt cds on the TL and if they couldn't share how. And also what cd brands ppl have noticed that works. Thanks.

I've used Sony and Verbatim vinyl and burn them at no more than 24x and they work fine.

just use RW's they usually always work and are nearly as cheap as cd-r's now, not to mention they are re-writable
