Default 99 3.0 cl Problem with steering vibration

I'm having a problem with my steering wheel vibrating between 60-80 mph. I got all four new tires and had them static balanced twice. The problem still has not gone away. When I'm driving it feels like the wheels are off balance but they are not. I can't figure out why this is happening. I'm thinking that it could be something more than just the balancing. Hopefully I can get some good sugestions.

Vibrationg only at certain speeds without stepping on the brakes is 99% of the time wheel off balance. Did you have the same vibration before you got the 4 tires? If not, then you can blame whomever is balancing your wheels/tires that they are not doing a very good job.

I also took the car to two different auto shops in the area. I'm thinking the new tires that I have are faulty.

you said that you have had them 'static balanced' twice. Did you request that they were static balanced? Static balanced tires almost always vibrate, get them rebalanced dynamiclly.

Default 99 cl with steering vibration

I had all four wheels dynamic balanced first. It still vibrated. Then I had them static balanced. It made the vibration better but I still have a vibration.

I'm thinking it might be a bad ball joint or tie rod. What do you guys think?

Again, the question is, did your car vibrate like that BEFORE you got the new tires?
