i bought a 97 3.0cl. it needs a timing belt in 10,000 miles. what do they cost to replace?

I'm not sure if this helps u or not...I have a 96 TL 2.5 and it ran be around 700 for the belt, labor and water pump( they reco you replace at the same time due to same location). If your water pump is right there absolutely replace it cause it will save you money and major hassle later if it does go out.
