Default Purchasing New 05 RSX

Hello,

Recently, I was thinking about buy 05 Acura RSX. I've been e-mailing to several dealership about prices.

1 Dearlership offered me $22K plus, tax, tag, and documentation fee. That's 05 Acura RSX Auto and leather.

2 Dearlership offered me $21K including tax, tag, documentation fee. That's 05 Acura RSX Auto.

I'm looking for 05 Acura RSX Auto. Also, I'm looking to spend about MAX 20K with EVERYTHING (tax, etc). I heard that EVERYTHING (tax, etc) cost around $3000 to $4000.

I asked first dealership if they can give me a discount on the car to match my offer. He told me that he couldn't take off $3000 to $4000 off. I have a question for those of who purchased new Acura vehicles. Did you get any discount and how much?

Also, I have a question for insurance. Is Acura RSX consider as sports
car or a luxury car? Well, I know for fact that it's 2 door coupe.
Most of my friends said it's more luxury than sports because Acura is
luxury verison of Honda.

Do you think it's possible for me to spend about MAX 20K to purchase the new Acura RSX auto? If not, I'm looking at the new Jetta, 06 Eclipse, or new G6.

Thanks. I really appreciate your helps.

$22k for a base + leather is a rip off.

i got my 05 Type S for $22,000 + TTL... which included all weather mats, wheel locks, trunk tray, and splash guards.

Depending on what state you are in and what county the prices might change. I got my base 05 auto for 19k w/floor mats, trunk tray, wheel locks, and cargo net with taxes. (i did my homework) But if your just going to get a base auto you should just get a used one. Its cheaper. I doubt you will keep the car no more than 2yrs or so.

I'm gonna have to agree that you could do a lot better than either, especially since the RSX isn't a big seller nowadays. I was able to get $19.5K before tax, title, licence for a base RSX with Leather back in November 01 when the car was new and in high demand.

You don't mention what state you're in, so I don't know what the rates will be for everything. But ~$3K sounds about right. Keep an eye out for deals or promotions and talk to dealership fleet managers.

And I'm with State Farm and they considered the RSX both a luxury and a sports car. Insurance was insane.

And definately consider a used RSX. I loved that car but I grew out of it fast. Unless you have plans to hold onto it for a long while, I've noticed a decent chunk of RSX owners hold onto it for 3-4 years and get rid of it.

My local acura dealerships let the sales people drive the RSX for 5 or 6K miles and then sell them as dealer demo cars. You might want to ask your local dealers if they have any demo cars they're going to sell in the near future.

Lot of engine, lot of suspension, no car h: I've driven and ridden in those and they don't impress me. Might as well do an engine conversion in a Civic for your money, because WRXs don't feel any nicer on the inside. Not worth $20 grand.
