By yourself? Plan on it taking most of the day. Be sure your fuel tank is almost empty before you start. This is if your fuel pump is in the tank like it is on my 91 CRX. Also, be sure the replacement fuel screen that attaches to the pump is exactly like the old one. I got a fuel pump from Pep Boys. The new inlet screen did not sit on the bottom of the tank when installed because it was a little shorter than the original. It ran out of gas at about 1/4 of a tank. I had to drop the tank again, take the damn thing back out and put the original fuel inlet screen on the new pump. Talking about P.O.'d.

Under the back seat, there's a round cover. Take that off & you'll see the fuel tank with another round cover. Electrical connection & 2 fuel hoses.

Make sure your fuel is 1/2 tank or less, that cover isn't really the TOP of the tank. You don't want to unbolt it & have 3 gallons gushing out.

#1 is the fuel pump, #30 is the cover under the back seat. Notice the big high part of the tank behind that opening? That's the part you DON'T want full of gasoline...

You may have to reuse the filter, retaining clip, and rubber isolator bushing from the old assembly if the new pump doesn't already have all that stuff. I'd say an hour to two hours.

The part thats going to take the longest is the removal of the seat, the rest is just a few bolts a plug and two hose clamps...simple and shouldn't take longer then an hour being your first time.
