1989 Acura legend cam timing adjustment?
[LEFT][FONT=Fixedsys][SIZE=1][I]
I am in the process of changing my timing belt on my 89 legend, (lost power driving), but did not break the belt. Question one, I am trying to set car top dead center, the right cam gear and the crank are looking good but the left cam gear is off. The dot on the gear is between 6:00 and 7:00 when it is supposed to be between 12:00 and 1:00, how do I get the left side where it is supposed to be. (The #1 piston is on the left passenger front, I checked and it is in the up possition). Question #2, with my timing jumping so far, what are my odds on bent valves or other internal damage and how do I check for something that serious?
Thank you,
