Default Disabling Alarm on 2000tl to charge battery

When the battery died on my 2000tl I wanted to use a battery charger.
Doing this caused the alarm to trigger....horns and flashing lights. Any way
to disable the alarm?

It's because when your alarm receives power again, it will go off because it is to prevent someone from disonnecting your battery while trying to break-in to your car and once it gets power again, it will go off and you can turn it off with your remote control.
