Default turbos from ebay good or not so good..?

does anyone have any idea if the turbos and turbo kits that are on ebay that are from seller ss auto chrome any good... i am wondering if it is worth buying. they seem to be verry cheap i am thinking it all goes back to the saying "you get what you paid for"

if anny 1 has had anny use of these types of kits or know of some one that has please let me know.

I have heard bad things about them. You get what you pay for like you said, so don't expect anything more than garbage.

dont believe everyone on here, you have to know a seller that sells turbos to know you are getting something of quality. There are several reputable people on ebay that sell car parts that I would trust to buy a turbo from. If I were you, I would look for a used turbo for cheap, send it off for a rebuild so that you know exactly what you have for less that half the price.

I don't doubt that at all, considering I bought my whole turbo kit off ebay. I have heard from many people on here that the ss autocrome turbo and manifold are crap.

I agree with everything else, though.

SSAutochrome manifolds fall apart. This is well known in the RX-7 crowd.

The XSPower turbos are also highly failure-prone. Don't buy them.
