Not A Joke
This picture was taken in my driveway last night...Bear in mind that the needle should be slightly lower, Im on a 4 degree downhill slope.
This has been plauging me since last September. I'm getting on average 16.5 miles per gallon!
It goes down to about 14.0 mpg if I'm rompin on it. It has to be mechanical but I dont know what it is and Acura isnt talkin. The last communication I had with them I was told to "Just drive the car and enjoy it" So much for Acura.

I don't know how you are driving the car, I typically get 25-30mpg and that's hitting triple digits on eway ramps and having to slow to merge. My wife or I are usually the first away from a light (hitting VTEC in first gear is too easy). I hope you're not one of those that drive the car just below the VTEC engagement point all the time, and wonder why they aren't getting better gas mileage. Oh yeah we have a 2004 TypeS, our second one. We had a 2002 TypeS that we got on July 7 2001, and averaged about the same mileage with it.

The real test is to take a 400 mile road trip and see what kind of highway mileage you get, using cruise control (or otherwise maintaining steady speed).
I've gotten similarly bad mileage when all I'm doing is short trips, 5 miles or less on congested streets. Different gas brands has some effect.
City average is around 18 MPG, Highway 30 MPG

i generally get about 22-30mpg....depending on the driving, but thats usually mixed with city and freeway driving

Take it to the dealer and make them fix it, there is no excuse for having that low of mileage, they should be fixing it under warranty.
