Default weird Q about 05 rsx

I'm going to get 05 rsx auto leather soon, I know I should get type-s.
I have no choice and yea at least manual... but this is the only option I can get rsx.
so for that weird question, do you think I can mimic the manual transmission LOOKS by covering the auto-mission control panel with black leather shift boot, some how sqeeze the edges in and just change the knob with manual style????
I know this is a very unique Q lol
rsx auto doesn't have the push button on its stick right?

just a thought...

wow, i feel like an idot after reading that. If you are buying a brand new car why dont you just get the manual tranny rsx instead of wasting money to make ur automatic look like a manual. You must be smokin rocks fo sho!

yeah, you can get a base 5 spd for cheaper bro. Why not look into a used 02-04 type s 6 speed? Thats what i did. 17,9 with the remainder of warranty. Ofcourse i ended up with a friggin factory freak. It beats other type s's by a car length and a half. Pulls on gts by 4 car lengths, and beats Z28's (LS1) by 1 1/2 car lengths. I work at a dealership and me and my maintanance guy went through it with OBDII and none of the cartridges would read the computer. Best guess we have is that i got a Type R computer, but it seems like there should be more than just a ECU. With the diff it has. I am about to crack open the head and find out the numbers on my cams and what not. It is plousable that a number difference caused manufacturing to place TypeR cams and ECU in my car but i dont know. However, my block still states K20A2...it would say K20 if it was a typeR lower. So we know the difference is topend and ECU. Just tracking it down is becoming a chore. Oh and good luck with the purchase. Id go with a Base 5spd if you REALLY want a 05. But truthfully, there isnt much of a difference between the 02-04 and 05 other than body. 10hp isnt anything. I got more than that out of exhaust and intake. Once the header goes on, cams come in and hondata kpro...it will be a little differnet. I bought used, and with the money i saved i will have a 300+whp NA car that still looks stock once everything arrives and i assemble it and tune it.

If I were you I'd try and get my parents to let me get stick. Just tell them that if you're getting a brand new car, you should get the transmission you like because you'll probably want manual eventually. It's going to suck once you realize how much better manual is and you're stuck with an auto.

Default Another Question

Thank you all for considering this stupid question...My situation is very tight right now, this is the only only option of rsx for me. And now I have another question, I read this thread of actual out-door-price of ppl's rsx to see how much is the good deal in my area but they were mostly from 02 and 03. So I was wondering is there big difference in the price between 02 or 03 and now 05?

You can get a used Type-S with 50,000 or under miles for 14-17k. (I know you want auto, but I'm in the market for Type-S and haven't looked for a base auto)

I'm in Little Rock, Arkansas. You're....way out there.

Too bad because that is exactly the color I want, with the milage I'm looking for, and the price I was hoping for.

While I'm sure my credit is good enough for me to be loaned $17,000 (plus tax, title and reg.), I'm looking to sell my Accord locally first as well. I was hoping for about $6K on the Accord, and I've got about $1,500 in the bank saved up, plus a loan for about $10k = $17,500.

Thanks though!
