Is the Helms Manual for a 96-98 Civic good for the 99-00 EK as well. I just purchased the manual from EBAY...the seller advertised that it is good for the EK as well but the model 99-00 or EK is nowhere mentioned in the manual?

It is like 1400 pages long with a 38MB file size. Does not have any graphic images but have illustrations only.

Anyone?

OMG I didn't pay for that manual.. it's everywhere online.. go to clubcivic.com and search for manuals.... they have all of them!!!

 

The 96-98 is an EK. The manual is good for 96-00.

 

You could have also looked under Sticky: Online resources - 96-00 manual

 

The sticky section has alot of information but i didnt find a complete HELMS manual for the EK. Anyway...i paid like $5 for it but it is a good thought to first look and then buy.

Everything should be close enough to get by. I have done things to my 04 civic LX with DIY's written for 98's and 2000's. It depends on what you are doing.

 

there are two forms of the manual out there, I have them both.
one is for the 96-98 civic and the other is for the 96-00 civic.

To tell the difference look at the bottom of the first page, one says 1996-1998 Service Manual the other says 1996-2000 Service Manual.
If the front cover is gone, check the second page (says Introduction, how to use this manual at the top), on the left side it will say First Edition 9/97 1432 pages if it's the 96-98 version, and First Edition 8/99 1848 pages if it's the 96-00 version.

 

That's good. $5 is worth it...glad that you checked though before buying it
