I live in Oregon and am thinking of putting a B16A2 engine into my 95 CX hatchback. What kind of legal red tape will I have to go through with the DMV or whom ever and for it to legal (smog tests and anything else) would the engine have to be USDM or could it be JDM?

 

It really varies by state, you'd have to research the DMV's guidelines for that. Regardless, make sure you have propper paperwork-- that is if you want to do things right.
