aight, ive been questioning this ever since i got my 00 ex. it doesnt seem like the factory alarm will go off for anything. ive tried locking it, sticking my hand in the window and opening it... locking it while im inside and then unlocking it from the inside handle... in what situation does this thing go off?

 

you sure you have the alarm and not just the keyless entry? My car was the same way....just cause the horn sounds, doesnt mean you have an alarm!

Clifford Intelliguard is the way to go

 

hmm, i guess ive always assumed i have an alarm system... i thought they came stock? do the 99-00 si's come with them stock?

 

i believe it was an option across the board. after my car got stripped, i made it like fort nox. (96 ex)

 

I have a factory alarm in my 95. But i dont know how to use it. I just keep it off because when I arm it, I dont know how to dissarm it and I end up opening my door really quick and putting my key in and hitting the button.
