Not sure if it's the same but you can probably buy the OEM pocket from the dealer or from someone here as well. They also have the kits that fill up the space, which puts your deck in the middle of the double DIN area. Personally I think the pocket looks better though and somewhere to put your phone when it's charging!

Moved to Audio & Security.

When I bought my single DIN headunit from Crutchfield, they included a panel kit that mounts the deck at the top of the dual-DIN opening, and has a small slot-like trim panel underneath.

Because of the bulk of the wiring harness, I haven't reinstalled my stock pocket. For me, it's no big loss. I'm more concerned about securing the headunit anyway.

Look around on the net and you'll find a range of dual to single DIN conversion kits. You may need to do some additional fabrication work, but the retail kits are a good place to start.

Mine actually came with a pocket, but I bought one of those mounting kits from Best Buys. It costs about $15. I cant remember off the top of my head what the brand it. The coloring is slightly off. It is more of a gray than black like my center console.

some people say you dont even need the mounting kit, its better without it. You just use the stock pocket. Alotta people say the mounting kits dont fit very good.

Is this true? Now i dunno if i should use a mounting kit or not

You can see that the mounting kit fits perfectly in the picture. Only the coloring is off.

I used the stock pocket, but I had to fabricate my own mounting kit using a dremel and JB Weld
