MY snecros in my 91 accord are going pretty bad and i dont really know why there going so bad like if im at a high RPM in second gear like 4,500 or 5 and i put it in third it makes a bad noise like my snecros.(sorry dont know how to spell that word) anyway i have the clutch in all the way and it still makes the grinding noise and i dont no what the problem is and i dont no how to prevent it. The motors stock everythings stock on the car it has like 201,400 miles on it. But also the same thing happen in my 92 civic but it was fifth gear snecros that went bad first.but i dont know how they get bad. Can i get some help thanks.

It is spelled synchro.

When was the last time your clutch was changed?

Ummm... when did you buy the car? How many miles were on the car?
I guarantee the clutch is not the original clutch. I recommend a whole new engine. If the clutch/transmission is in that state there is no telling what the engine is like internally. hmotorsonline has plenty of decently priced engines for you.
Minimally replace the whole tranny, in that case EBAY is your friend.

Why would you replace a perfectly good engine? Replace the clutch and see if that helps. I had the same grinding issues, so I got my clutch changed and I no longer have those issues. If your clutch doesn't fix it, you could rebuild the tranny but it isn't worth the money when you can buy a used tranny for only a few hundred dollars.

I bought the car with 199,000 miles on it from my friend whos dad sold it to him and his dad said that it was orginal clutch never changed. and the tranny is fine clutch still grabs good i can still churp second every time. but 3rd gear grinds only at like 4500 5 RPM or a little higher. but every other gear is fine and has no problems.
